About

Hello and welcome to The True Perspective. I founded this blog in 2010, after I got disenchanted with how national publications were printing and airing perspectives and views that were as far removed from reality as possible. Specifically, I felt that my impressions and thoughts (as a common man) about the various issues (international and national) plaguing my country were missing from the mainstream.

That's when I decided to take matters into my own hands. The internet is a wonderful place. It affords you the freedom to say whatever you want, whenever you want. Over the course of the past 12 years, the political and national discourse in Pakistan has taken dramatic turns. What should be common sense and clear, is not always so; what is perverse and should be shunned, has become mainstream. So my blog is just that — a place for me to say the things that might be disconcerting, but are important and need to be said. I intend to keep going, chronicling my thoughts on the various issues plaguing Pakistan and how a commoner sees those issues (you'd be surprised how removed from reality the opinions in the mainstream can be sometimes).
