About

Hello. My name is Hamza and I am the blogger behind The True Perspective. I founded this blog in 2010, after I got disenchanted with how national publications were printing and airing perspectives and views that were as far removed from reality as possible. Specifically, I felt that my impressions and thoughts (as a common man) about the various issues (international and national) plaguing my country were missing from the mainstream.

That's when I decided to take matters into my own hands. The internet is a wonderful place. It affords you the freedom to say whatever you want, whenever you want. Over the course of the past 8 years, the political and national discourse in Pakistan has taken dramatic turns. What should be common sense and clear, is not always so; what is perverse and should be shunned, has become mainstream. So my blog is just that — a place for me to say the things that might be disconcerting, but are important and need to be said. I intend to keep going, chronicling my thoughts on the various issues plaguing Pakistan and how a commoner sees those issues (you'd be surprised how removed from reality the opinions in the mainstream can be sometimes).
